MIUI 10 update
A small Preface!
MIUI was officially announced on January 23 in a media event in Hong Kong where they told that the upcoming version will focus on AI and Machine learning which will make a lot of processes automatic by predicting real-world decisions. The new version will adapt according to your usage habits and divert the power to a certain set of apps. This will mean less lag, faster navigation more power and efficiency.
The cameras also get an upgrade now even if it is a single camera, the Portrait mode Bokeh effect is available now on old models like Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Note 2. The new edition also brings a new driving mode, smart home gadget manager and a flurry of improvements over the current MIUI 9 and faster performance is one of them.
MIUI 10 Key Update features
- New recent menu: Nowadays 18:9 tall displays are very mainstream and the MIUI takes advantage of it. The menu is now vertically scrollable and is full of gestures to switch apps or close them. Users also have the option of locking or shutting down the app by long pressing.
- Drive Mode: The driving mode is a new addition to the MIUI custom ROM though it is previously seen on others like Honor EMUI 8. It can be accessed and commanded by the Xiao Ai voice assistant. But it still not clear whether it is available only in Chinese language or for English in the Global variant.
- AI technology: This new technology brings a new life to the MIUI. The behaviour of the user is tracked and the power is distributed according to it bringing more efficiency to the device.
