Method 1

This is one of the first method of rooting Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge in the XDA. But it is not confirmed to work on some models of the phone. I would be suggesting you to wait for more methods to hit XDA, but you can always try if you’re feeling adventurous though 😉
  1. First of all, download the Kingo Root app on your Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge.
  2. Open the Kingo root app on your computer.
  3. Go to developer settings and enable “USB debugging” on your phone.
  4. Now, connect your phone with computer with your USB cable.
  5. After connecting your Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge,Kingo root will be checking for the latest device drivers for your phone. And it will install them automatically. [You can skip this step if you already have the Samsung drivers on your PC].
  6. Now, the phone’s model name and root status will be appearing on your PC/computer. And there also will be a “Root” button.
  7. Click on the “Root” button to start rooting your Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge. It might take a few minutes for the process to be completed, so wait for it to finish.
  8. If Kingo Root is able to attain Root, it will show a success notice.
  9. After the process is complete (i.e, if Rooting is a success), click “Finish” and wait for the device to reboot.
  10. You can also check if you are able to attain Root in your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge by using a root checker app like this one.
