They entered the Indian Market with Mi 3, which was the cheapest flagship level Android phone with that specifications with the hardware quality. With the success of Mi 3, they continued to expanded their business into the roots of our country by providing great products like Redmi 1s, Redmi 2, Redmi Note, MiPad and Mi 4.
And now, they are back with their latest product, that is the Redmi Note 2. This phone was really making a fuss before its release all because of its previous model (Redmi Note) which was a great success in India. After all the Leaks and Rumors, we finally, officially meet with Redmi Note 2! Though, it is not launched in India, but it was launched in China and will most probably be launched in India on their event in Delhi, on 17th of August, 2015.
First impressions are way to stunning! The inclusion of replaceable back covers gives it a really Amazing look. Redmi Note 2 comes in 2 variants like its previous Model, which are named Redmi Note 2 & Redmi Note 2 Prime. Following the naming convention that Xiaomi did with Redmi 2 Prime.
The new Redmi Note 2 is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, with eight Cortex-A53 CPU Core, the same SoC that powers HTC’s newest flagship HTC One M9+. The phone has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage while Redmi Note 2 Prime variant comes with 32 gb storage. Redmi Note 2 is clocked at 2.0GHz CPU while Redmi Note 2 Prime at 2.2Ghz CPU
Both the variants include common 5.5-inch 1920×1080 resolution LCD Display. The display comes with Sun screen technology, which defies the Sunlight and gives you clear look at your display even at a bright sunny day. It also comes with Luminous screen technology which helps you read comfortably under night conditions! Which makes it a pretty good adaptive display
Both variants come with 13 megapixel rear camera with Samsung sensor, and 5-element lens with f/2.2 aperture. The camera also has phase detection autofocus, which is much faster than conventional contrast detection autofocus systems. On the front is a 5 megapixel camera made by OmniVision
Redmi Note 2 comes with up to 3060mAh (typical) high-capacity battery, with MIUI system-level power optimization, up to 120 hours of standby time.
It Also comes up with fast charging technology with a 1.5A, without waiting for a long charging time. Battery can be replaced, you can also choose to carry long-distance travel a spare battery.
Finally, Redmi Note 2 comes with the Most Awaited UI version i.e MIUI 7. It is based on Lollipop 5.0.2 on Redmi Note 2 brothers and the one seen on the likes of Redmi 1s, Redmi 2 & Redmi 2 Prime is based on Kitkat 4.4.4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has been priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000) while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime will come at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 10,000). The Redmi Note 2 will be also available in a 3G-only variant which will be available at CNY 799 (approximately Rs. 8,000)
