Xiaomi To Start Selling Offline Through The Mobile Store

It’s really happening! The online giant Xiaomi is coming to retail stores near you. A report from Economic Times states that the company will start offering their phones through The Mobile Store’s retail stores in Delhi, 55 of them to be exact, as a start.

The Chinese giant will be selling Mi 4 and Redmi Note 4G first on these stores, as per the report. Both of these models are currently on sale on Flipkart as the usual flash sales of Xiaomi. The prices of these two models are tipped to be priced the same as that of online prices, which are Rs. 19,999 & Rs. 9999 respectively.

This is not the first time the company is selling their devices offline, earlier the company had made a deal with Airtel to sell Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G through their offline stores, that required online registration prior sale and it is expected that they are planning similar strategy with The Mobile Store too. The Mobile Store will also be acting as a service point where users will be able to repair their phones if anything happens. This is huge for Xiaomi as the only thing holding some people back from buying Xiaomi devices is the lack of service centers for the company, this deal would be perfect to make that up as The Mobile Store has a pretty good reach with brick and mortar stores spread all over the country. Let us hope that the stores to be expanded all over the country in coming months, not just Delhi.

The company will continue with the sales of Redmi 1s, Redmi Note 4G & Mi 4 through Flipkart, also they are expected to set up their own official eCommerce site for selling own devices, they recently started sale of accessories through official site. Overall, I could say that Xiaomi has got great plans for India and is not going back any time soon! And I would like to add that this move is right in the face of Micromax where they enjoy a supreme market share.
