Greetings to all the #Meizu fans in India. We are coming!
Meizu M1 Note Specifications
On the paper, Meizu M1 Note looks great! It comes with a 5.5 inch 1080p display, which is an IPS panel, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It rocks with 64 bit 1.7 Ghz Octa-Core Mediatek MT6752 SoC, which is one of MediaTek’s most powerful processors. It is partnered with Mali-T760 for graphics and comes with 2 GB of RAM.
The camera on the phone scales at 13 MP at the back, with LED flash and 5 MP on the front. It comes with internal memory options of 16 GB and 32 GB, and does not include the support for memory expansion.
Meizu’s phones sport their own custom UI, much like Xiaomi, called Flyme OS. The one on the Meizu M1 Note is Flyme 4.0 based on Android KitKat 4.4.4. It is much like MIUI, having all the apps arranged neatly on home screen itself. Flat and modern design language embraces the OS, which is great, but you can always switch back and forth from Flyme’s own custom icons and stock Android icons for apps. Many parts of the UI actually looks quite like iOS 7, but it’s an irony that Flyme 4.0 was released before iOS 7.
The phone supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and other usual connectivity options. All of this is powered by a 3140 mAh battery.
And I must say, now the real fun begins in the Indian market! If Meizu is able to find the sweet spot for pricing for the phone, they will surely be enjoying a great success that it’s Chinese rivals have enjoyed here in India. The phone is said to be released in April.
