A report by a market research venture called Cybex Exim has revealed that LAVA Mobiles is the second biggest mobile manufacturer in India. Just recently Micromax had become the top Indian mobile brand and in this research too it stays at number one. The research included companies like Micromax, Lava, Motorola, Intex, XOLO, Panasonic, Xiaomi Karbonn, and many other Indian brands. This research also revealed that Karbonn is the third largest while Intex andSpice are 4th and 5th respectively.
LAVA Mobiles managed to get into the super-2 with it’s boost on the featured phone market (which now accounts for 70% of Indian market, even though the trend is rapidly changing). Lava has just become the number one feature phone manufacturer, which brought them the crown of the second biggest mobile manufacturer in the country. Lava had also recently said that it will invest 500 crores over the next few years to set-up it’s own manufacturing plans in India, this might be what they need to become number one.
Let’s not forget the fact that LAVA Mobiles own the XOLO brand, which is also doing pretty well in the market and has been enjoying quite a few successes recently. So, the actual numbers may vary and they might be actually closer to Micromax on the race to number one spot!
